Mort Hill’s In Play Tennis Calculator is an application which will calculate the win chances in a certain match and score. It uses percentages for each players to win a point at their own service
The program just calculates chances based on variables given by the user. The used variables are: What percentage do each player have to win a point at their own service (WOS).
Which is indirectly the base for bookmaker-odds as well, as this percentages determines the strengths of players. The bigger the differences in WOS-percentages between the players, the bigger the difference of the chance of winning the match.
This tool calculates the win chances in a certain match and displays the odds in relation to the outcome.
For example: a rating of 100 points would make a player with a win chance of 51,4% a favorite.
It can be used to find out the easiest game of a player or to compare the chances for a match.
There is a ranking function. By adding more matches, the outcome will be checked more often and thus will be better ranked. Also the results of the previous matches will be more accurate.

The applied conditions for calculating the win chances are: Net height, Court type, Players’ equipment, Players’ capacity, Players’ strength, Weather conditions, Time and the score of the last ball of the previous set.
