Equipped with the right applications, a computer can be of great help in virtually any domain of activity. When it comes to designing and precision, no other tool is as accurate as a computer. Moreover, specialized applications such as AutoCAD give you the possibility to design nearly anything ranging from art, to complex mechanical parts or even buildings.
Suitable for business environments and experienced users
After a decent amount of time spent installing the application on your system, you are ready to fire it up. Thanks to the office suite like interface, all of its features are cleverly organized in categories. At a first look, it looks easy enough to use, but the abundance of features it comes equipped with leaves room for second thoughts.
Create 2D and 3D objects
You can make use of basic geometrical shapes to define your objects, as well as draw custom ones. Needless to say that you can take advantage of a multitude of tools that aim to enhance precision. A grid can be enabled so that you can easily snap elements, as well as adding anchor points to fully customize shapes.
With a little imagination and patience on your behalf, nearly anything can be achieved. Available tools allow you to create 3D objects from scratch and have them fully enhanced with high-quality textures. A powerful navigation pane is put at your disposal so that you can carefully position the camera to get a clearer view of the area of interest.
Various export possibilities
Similar to a modern web browser, each project is displayed in its own tab. This comes in handy, especially for comparison views. Moreover, layouts and layers also play important roles, as it makes objects handling a little easier.
Sine the application is not the easiest to carry around, requiring a slightly sophisticated machine to properly run, there are several export options put at your disposal so that the projects itself can be moved around.
Aside from the application specific format, you can save as an image file of multiple types, PDF, FBX and a few more. Additionally, it can be sent via email, directly printed out on a sheet of paper, or even sent to a 3D printing service, if available.
To end with
All in all, AutoCAD remains one of the top applications used by professionals to achieve great precision with projects of nearly any type. It encourages usage with incredible offers for student licenses so you get acquainted with its abundance of features early on. A lot can be said about what it can and can't do, but the true surprise lies in discovering it step-by-step.
AutoCAD has a wide variety of capabilities, including drafting and drafting-related features; object-modeling, animation, and rendering features; and much more. AutoCAD can create:
AutoCAD for Windows and AutoCAD LT software
AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT are desktop applications that were developed and marketed by Autodesk. AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT are used by architects, engineers, drafters, and others in different types of industries to create 2D and 2.5D drawings and animations.
AutoCAD LT is a free trial version of AutoCAD that includes a limited number of drawing objects and no rendering, animation, or other advanced features.
If you don’t want to buy AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT outright, you can rent time on a subscription basis or you can purchase a license that includes a perpetual license to use AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT on multiple computers. AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT are Microsoft Windows software applications and can be used on any Windows PC, laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
The new AutoCAD LT will include a wide variety of drawing features and allow you to perform more complex drafting tasks. You’ll also be able to use new features in AutoCAD, such as enhanced transparency, flow, and advanced materials.
AutoCAD LT 2017
AutoCAD LT 2017, which is the latest release of the software, is also available in a free trial version for 30 days.
AutoCAD 2017 and AutoCAD LT 2017 contain new features, including a wide variety of drafting features and performance enhancements. AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT 2017 are also backward compatible with older releases of AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT.
A compatible licensed copy of AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT can be used with AutoCAD LT 2017 and AutoCAD 2017.
AutoCAD LT 2017 includes:
Easy grid creation and editing
Multiple object selection
Improved vector drawing
Interactive multilevel views
AutoCAD LT software and the 2017 version of AutoCAD LT are available in a free 30-day trial download from the AutoCAD LT 2017 Download Center.
The new AutoCAD LT can be used in conjunction with your existing licensed copy
AutoCAD includes a rich Java API for plugins and for customizing AutoCAD or Visual LISP code to AutoCAD. The API is highly interactive with large number of events and callback mechanisms. The API can be used to create custom tools or plugins for AutoCAD, XDraw, and XDrawView. There are also APIs to create custom applications using Visual LISP code in AutoCAD or Visual LISP. This includes custom Plugins, custom automation, and custom add-on applications.
Most of the API calls are documented in the API reference and can be done through the API GUI as well as through the command line. The Java API is based on the ObjectARX class library.
From version 2017 of AutoCAD, Java 5 or higher is required to use the Java API.
AutoCAD Raster and vector graphics support
AutoCAD is an AutoCAD plug-in for Adobe Flash, a proprietary raster graphics and vector graphics program used in Adobe Flash Player (also known as Flash) and Flash Builder 4, and can be extended to other products, including Adobe’s Creative Suite applications.
AutoCAD can be used to create custom tools or plugins that can be run in the Draw or Annotate menus. These are called Plug-ins.
With AutoLISP plug-ins, AutoCAD users can customize AutoCAD. When AutoLISP is run, a variety of commands and callbacks to specific elements are created. These can be used to build tools or plugins, and can be called from an external application.
AutoCAD can call or be called from applications built using the ObjectARX library. There is a new API for calling AutoCAD from any programming language.
CAD, geometry, and 3D modeling
The underlying structure of the CAD application is composed of layers of geometry, modeling, and commands (including tools and algorithms).
In AutoCAD, the user can change the geometry and change the modeling that is presented to the user. When the user is working in the 3D view, commands and algorithms can be used to modify the geometry or change the modeling. When the user is working in the 2D view, commands and algorithms can be used to modify the geometry or change the modeling. The 3D commands can be a group of commands or a simple button. In the 2D view, the user can use

LOS ANGELES — A court in Los Angeles has issued a temporary restraining order that prevents website Pirate Bay, which is the world’s largest torrent site, from being taken down by authorities in the U.S.
The site operates a peer-to-peer network for sharing content, mostly pirated material.
The site says it is subject to a court order that was issued by a judge in a Canadian court and that it has posted a message informing people that the site will soon be taken down.
Pirate Bay co-founder Gottfrid Svartholm was recently extradited from Sweden to Denmark, where he is serving a three-year sentence for assisting people to illegally download files.
The temporary restraining order doesn’t prevent the U.S. authorities from making the site unavailable at a later date, says the office of U.S. Attorney Michael Anderson.Freedman
